Sometimes I feel I have so much to say
So much to write and express,
As I take my notebook and lay on the bed
All my thoughts and emotions begin to regress.
I feel blank like a paper
Scared as a lonely pup,
I feel helpless and shattered
Like the pieces of a broken cup.
But then I say to myself,
“You are a fighter my dear girl,
You are the princess of wonderland.
Raise your head above the ground,
Or else your tiara might fall.”
I go back to my childhood
And remember the bad times,
When the only positive sound in the house
Was that of the tinkling wind chimes.
So far so good, the journey has been fine
With wounds and scratches that’ll heal with time.
With every day I grow, I also evolve
And allow all my pains to sublime.
And then I say to myself,
“You are a fighter my dear girl,
You are the princess princess of wonderland.
Raise your head above the ground
Or else your tiara might fall.”
